City of Southlake

The City of Southlake is an affluent community located 10 miles from the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. It is located along Highway 114. Most of Southlake is located in the northern part of Tarrant County however a small portion is located in the southern part of Denton County. The City of Southlake is a suburb in-between Dallas and Fort Worth.

Four school districts make up the City of Southlake: Carroll ISD, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, Keller ISD, and Northwest ISD. Carroll ISD however is the largest and is the main school district for Southlake. Of the four school districts it tends to be the most sought after. Carroll is know for exemplary schools and a prestigious athletics department. Carroll has 11 schools in its district. There is only one High School and one senior High School in Carroll ISD. They are home to the Carroll Dragons.

Southlake has become a giant hub for shopping and fine dining. It is a growing area with new businesses continuing to make it their home. The Southlake Town Square boasts most of the areas retail facilities. It surrounds the town hall on over 130 acres. It has over 120 shops, restaurants, a theater, and a Hilton is also located on its grounds. They often sponsor special events at the Southlake Town Square featuring music and entertainment.

The City of Southlake has has an expansive softball, baseball, tennis, and soccer facilities. It has plans for more parks and recreation in the near future.

Southlake is home to 28,086 residents in 2014 over 21.5 square miles. The medium income was $170,742 and the medium home value was $530,300 (2010-2014). In 2013, it was ranked number one as the wealthiest zip code in North Texas.
